Lana Denina, a 24-year-old artist, has earned over $300,000 from selling her art as Nonfungible tokens (NFTs) on different platforms.

Denina, a Canadian based artist started out as a painter in February, selling NFTs of paintings she created one by one, but moved into a chain of entire collections. She was impressed with the technology and the benefit of using it as a proof of ownership for artists.
She mentioned that the traditional galleries are obsolete as there isn’t so much diversity, noting that she was never attracted to it.

While the artist stated her reasons for adopting the NFTs, she said it allows artists to create their own galleries and set their own prices online. Artists can also earn royalties on secondary sales of their artworks using NFTs and Web3, noting that she earns 10% for herself.

In November, Denina tagged her most recent collection, “Mona Lana”, and it sold out within weeks.
Denina created the “Mona Lana” collection includes 500 unique portraits of women, with each portrait generated by code with 112 variety of traits.
