To start the holiday shopping season, Amazon announced that Black Friday-worthy deals begins today, 53 days earlier than usual.

The online shopping store disclosed that there is a deep discount across every category including fashion, home goods, toys and electronics which will be made available on a special webpage. New deals will also be added everyday throughout the next two months.

Aside discounts, Amazon is also adding a new tool for US-based Prime members that shop on its app. Gifts can now be sent without knowing the recipient’s address. Instead, the person’s mobile number or email address can be entered and they will be alerted of the purchase or given the option of exchanging it for an Amazon gift card without letting the sender know.

Shortages in shipping containers, bottlenecks at ports and increased demand have triggered tighter supply of products so customers should expect a stressful shopping season. The factory closures in Vietnam because of Covid-19 have also forced some brands like Pacsun, and Nike, among others to warn about the effects on their supply.

Also, the postal service in the United States has increased prices for the holiday shopping season because of more people shopping online. Beginning November 1, FedEx would also be adding a fuel surcharge on certain shipments, including FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Freight shipments.

Target(TGT) also announced that its shopping season will start earlier than ever and its deal days are coming back on October 10 for three days that will accord customers savings on thousands of items and will be available both in-stores and online.
