Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday night held a meeting with former Lagos State governor and APC presidential hopeful, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Although, the subject of the meeting was not officially disclosed, sources have it that the meeting might be unconnected with Tinubu’s presidential ambition.

Recall that Tinubu had met with the President in February to declare his 2023 presidential ambition on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC).

The source disclosed further that Tinubu’s visit to the villa was to make up for an iftar dinner that the President hosted on April 26 in honour of some leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu was reported to be performing the lesser Hajj (Umrah) at the time which prevented him from joining other APC leaders to honour the President’s invitation.

Aside Bola Ahmed Tinubu, some others who have signified interest in Nigeria’s Presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) are Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; Ibikunle Amosun, former Ogun State Governor; Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti State Governor; Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello; Ebonyi state Governor, Dave Umahi; former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba; Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio and a female presidential aspirant, Uju Kennedy.
