The eNaira speed wallet which disappeared on the Google Play Store yesterday has been restored.

It would be recalled that President Buhari launched the eNaira app on Monday and over 100,000 downloads were recorded within 24 hours.

However, users and commentators bombarded the airwaves with numerous complaints and negative comments about the functionality and efficiency of the App. While some complained that the process of loading the App was cumbersome and slow, some others remarked that linking their BVN to their accounts and Email was tortuous, while some others expressed that attempts to set up an account failed. This development led many commentators to express that the the app was taken down from the Google Play store due to the negative reviews and comments that trailed its arrival.

Reacting to insinuations that the App was taken down due to inefficiency, the CBN spokesperson, Osita Nwanisobi, said the App was taken down to enable its upgrade. A statement which attracted doubts and scepticism from a cross section of the public.

It seems the CBN is poised to erase such scepticism as BOOM Television’s investigation early Thursday afternoon revealed that the App is back on the Google Play store.
