The Nigerian Communications Commissions (NCC) has reiterated that the deadline for NIN-SIM integration remains October 31, 2021. Telecom consumers who are yet to integrate their SIM with their NIN are invariably enjoined to do so before it’s too late. The NCC disclosed this during the third run of its Telecom Consumer Town Hall meeting aired on a radio station in Abuja.
At the occasion, the NCC Director of Consumer Affairs Bureau, Efosa Idehen, also advised telecom consumers not to allow another person to register a SIM with their NIN number so as not to suffer from any liabilities, criminal infractions or any other negative consequences that may arise from the use of such SIM.
Telecom watchers have expressed that these nuggets of admonition should not be ignored by telecom consumers.
