The value of the Nigerian naira has falling further by 2 per cent to ₦422 per dollar at the official market.

The decline came days after Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo called the CBN to allow the naira reflect the realities of the market. He said that the exchange rate is low and deters investors from bringing foreign exchange into the country.

According to some operators in the black market, the dollar was bought at ₦565 and sold for ₦570 the parallel market.

However, the Central Bank of Nigeria maintains ₦410.91 per dollar as its official rate.
