Organizers of next year’s winter Olympics in Beijing have disclosed that the games will be open only to spectators who live in China.The Games will be held in a hot air balloon in the Chinese capital from February 4 to 20, in line with Covid-19 protocols.

As Beijing becomes the first city to host the Summer and Winter Olympics, the International Olympics Committee(IOC) has announced that from January 23rd until the end of the Paralympic Winter Games on 13th March, balloons will cover all stadiums and competition venues, accommodation, meals, and opening and closing ceremonies. It was also disclosed that the games’ participants will have their own transportation system.

During closed cycles, participants can only move between the playing, training, competition and work areas.

Athletes and other vaccinated participants would be allowed to enter the balloon without isolation while those who have not been vaccinated would be required to self-quarantine within 21 days of entering the country.

According to the IOC, all the staff and participants in the hot air balloon would be tested daily for COVID-19.
