The Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has disclosed in a letter that the 21 weekly flight schedule of Emirate Airlines has been restored as the two countries have resolved their diplomatic spat.

It would be recalled that the Federal Government through the NCAA withdrew the 21 weekly flights approved for the Emirates Airlines and restricted the airline’s flight to one due to refusal of the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to grant the three frequencies requested by Air Peace.

This development made Emirates suspend its flight to Nigeria until the issues are resolved.

The UAE eventually bowed to the request of the Federal Government, granting 7 slots to Air Peace to operate at Dubai International Airports.

The airline might commence operation immediately in order to cater for thousands of its passengers whose flights were affected by the development.
