A huge one day gain on Monday put Tesla over the $1 trillion mark, making the company the sixth in the history of the US to be worth over $1 trillion.

Tesla hit the $1 trillion mark some 12 years after it’s 2010 initial public offering.The company’s shares climbed more than 12% on Monday and closed at about $1,025.00.

Apple, currently tops the list of the world’s most valuable companies at $2.5 trillion, followed by Microsoft which is worth $2.3 trillion.Other members of the trillion dollar club include Google’s parent company, Alphabet, which is worth $1.8 trillion and Amazon at $1.7 trillion.
