A newly built airplane, the Celera 500L, has adopted an unconventional shape in the league of airplanes. The airplane has the shape of a bullet and is designed to extremely reduce fuel consumption as the airplane would still work efficiently at four to five times the rate at which other turboprop aircrafts work and seven to eight times the efficiency rate of a jet aircraft.

According to the manufacturer, Otto Aviation, an hour flight on the bullet shaped aircraft will cost around $328 and fuel economy of two to three miles per gallon compared to the present rate of $2,100 with a fuel economy of 18 to 25 miles per gallon.

In total, the Celera 500L would conveniently convey a total of six passengers at a speed of 460 miles-per-hour and a range of 4,500 miles.

The Celera 500L first flew in 2018 and has completed about 50 test flights thus far.

The airplane is projected to commercially go on sale by 2025.
