Kimberly-Clark, an American Company, has expanded its operations to Nigeria as it invests a $100 million (about N41.6 billion) manufacturing plant in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Commissioned by Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, the new manufacturing plant produces diapers and it is expected to create 1,000 jobs.

While speaking at the occasion, Osinbajo stated that he was told the plant would serve Nigerian consumers with affordable high-quality diapers and will produce about 600 million diapers every year.

The Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clement Agba said, Kimberly-Clark has shown its commitment and resilience to Nigeria by investing over $100 million in the country even amidst the pandemic.
