Google parent, Alphabet has revealed that despite restrictions on how customers can be tracked, it realized more than its projected revenue for the third quarter.

It would be recalled that in April, Apple introduced a new privacy notification that enabled users prevent companies such as Google and Facebook from tracking their activity on other apps and website.

Analysts have expressed concern on this privacy changes but it seems Google’s search business is less affected because it owns its Android Operating System.

The world’s largest provider of search and video ads recorded a rise in revenue to $65.1bn, it’s largest revenue figures in 14 years.

Alphabet’s share price have also risen by 24% in the last six months, strongly outperforming the market as consumers spent more time online during the pandemic.
