Transport with Jetpacks, flying cars and drones sound unrealistic but that is the future of transportation as the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) market is set to achieve these concepts, expected to be worth as much as $17 billion by 2025.

Wisk, a unit of Boeing Co., has been testing Cora, an autonomous electric aircraft that takes off and lands like a helicopter for four years.

Discussion are ongoing with regulators, including the US Federal Aviation Administration, to get approval for public use of the air taxi which can carry two passengers up to 100 kilometres at speeds of up to 150km/h.

PAL-V, a Netherland based company has received approval for the use of its two seat gyroplane road vehicle Liberty which has a maximum speed of 180km/h and a flying range of 400km.

The Chief Executive of PAL-V International, Robert Dingemanse has disclosed that delivery to customers will begin in 2023 after the required training has been completed. He added that PAL-V had orders, including down payments from 15 countries with interest from 193 countries.

Allied Market Research has revealed that the Advance Air Mobility market could be worth almost $17 billion by 2025 and $110 billion by 2035.
