The UK government has announced that Nigerian travellers who posses proof of vaccination on arrival in the UK will no longer need to self-isolate with effect from 11th October.

This policy applies to those fully vaccinated with certificates from AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen at least 14days before arrival in the UK.

It would be recalled that the UK government had earlier introduced a policy that travellers from Nigeria would be required to self-isolate for 10 days before entering the country.

The statement disclosed further that any Nigerian traveller who arrives in the UK before the October 11 date must follow the present rules for people who are not fully vaccinated.
