Bilateral trade relations between Nigeria and Brazil has grown by 30% since 2019, in spite of the pandemic, with the two countries experiencing a balance in trade. Brazil’s Consulate General , Mr Francisco Carlos Liz, made this disclosure while speaking at the Nigerian – Brazilian trade mission awareness and interactive session. He affirmed that trade is of great advantage to both countries.

He disclosed further that goods worth $700 million dollars were sold to Nigeria, while imports from Nigeria to Brazil was about the same amount in the said period. Hence, everybody benefits as there is a balance between both sides.

Brazil is reported to be the second biggest market for cosmetics in the world, following the United States.
